The term "S3 Compatible Cloud Host" represents storage systems that use the Amazon S3 API for data management and access.
At times Cloud Host details may need to be “edited” in order to make the storage system easier to identify.
To update the desired Cloud Host details from the discovery screen and enable it to be available for jobs perform the following steps:
In this example, the process will start from the Discovery - Cloud Storage screen (title outlined in blue).
- Click on the show all Cloud Hosts link.

The Cloud Host details for "Cloud Storage Local S3" (outlined in green) will be displayed to be revised to add additional information.

- Click on the Cloud Link under the STORAGE banner.

This will take the user to the Cloud Storage screen.
- Click on the Edit icon associated with the Cloud Storage Local S3 associated with the Cloud Storage Hosts Header to expand the display downward to show the details.

The Cloud Storage screen will display the Cloud Storage Local S3 - Host Settings fields (outlined in green) that can be edited.
The edited field is:
- Label

Host Settings - Advanced Options
To view the advanced options for a Cloud Host perform the following steps:
- Click on the Advanced Options icon.

The screen will expand down-ward to display the available adjustable options (outlined in blue):
- Connection Limit
- Multipart Preferred Size
- Multipart Threshold Size
- Segment Threshold Size
- Segment Size
- Segment Suffix
- Long Path Alias Mode
Checkbox options include (outlined in green):
- Segments with Chars
- Ignore Empty Directories (Default: False)
- No Longpath Alias Index (Default: False)
- Enable Unordered List Objects (Ceph) (Default: False)
- Use Copy Source Operations (Default: True)
- Use ProxyUse HTTP
- Use Legacy Authentication (v2)
- Ignore Certificate Chain
- Ignore Certificate Expiration
- Allow Self-Signed Certificates
- Tags not implemented
- Allow "_" in Bucket Names (Cohesity)

In the following example the following Host Settings (outlined in blue) are to be changed from inactive, to active:
- Use HTTP
- Allow Self-Signed Certificates

- Click in the checkbox for Use HTTP.
- Click in the checkbox for Allow Self-Signed Certificates.

- Click on the Save Changes icon.

The system will display the following pop-up message of "Confirm Edit Host".
- Click on the Continue icon.

The system will display the following pop-up message of "Processing Request... please wait.".

The display will refresh and the System banner message will show "Successfully updated Endpoint 'Cloud Storage Local S3'".

This will display the Cloud Storage screen (title outlined in blue).
2. Click in the tile of Cloud Storage - Local S3 AWS Account.

The screen will expand down to display the S3 - Cloud Storage Local S3 - Host Settings form (title outlined in blue).
- Click on the Advanced Options icon.

The screen will expand downward to display the Advanced Options available for this HOST, showing that the (options outlined in blue) Use HTTP and Allow Self-Signed Certificates are now active.
