6.9 Discovery - Deleting Cloud Hosts

Note:
This process will start at the "Discovery - Discover Files and Directories located in Storage Systems" screen.

The "Discovery - File Storage" shows the discovered systems and their associated scan settings.

  1. Click on the Cloud Storage tab.

  1. Click on the show all Cloud Hosts link.

All Cloud Hosts placeholders are now displayed.

  1. Click on the Cloud link under the STORAGE banner.

This will display the Cloud Storage screen.

In this example the Cloud Storage Host "Cloud Storage Local S3" is to be selected for removal.

  1. Click on the Remove icon of the Cloud Storage Host(s) to be removed.

The system will provide the following pop-up confirmation message confirming that the identified resource is to be removed. "Confirm Host Removal" (outlined in green).

  1. Click the Continue icon to enable removal of the storage system.

The system banner message of "Successfully removed Storage System profile" while changes are being applied.

When the change has taken place, the refreshed Cloud Storage page should show the requested storage system has been removed (outlined in blue).

Note:
If the system selected for removal is no longer listed, the removal process was successful.

  1. Click on the Discovery link under the DATA SERVICES banner.

The Discovery screen should be displayed.

  1. Click on the Cloud Storage tab.

  1. Click on the show all Cloud Hosts link.

Note:
The the Cloud Storage Host "Cloud Storage Local S3" is no longer listed.

This completes the deleting Cloud Hosts while using the Discovery process.
